Eucharistic Outreach
Regional Eucharistic Outreach
To Washtenaw County Care and Correctional Facilities
Volunteers from parishes all over Washtenaw County participate in our regional outreach to bring Holy Communion to the sick and isolated in care and correctional facilities. They bring Jesus in his sacramental presence to Catholics who cannot attend Mass. They also bring Jesus through prayer, through sharing the Word of God, and through their own attentive and compassionate presence. In doing so, they enable our brothers and sisters to maintain their connection to the local Catholic community. Our volunteers lead or assist with Communion services and visit individuals in their rooms.

Volunteering
Serving on the Eucharistic Outreach team is simple, beautiful, and powerful. It is open to Catholics who are members in good standing at a parish and who have received their Sacraments of Initiation.
We provide the necessary training and help volunteers find the right match for their interests, gifts, and availability.
