Catholic Charities recognizes that human beings, made in the image of God, experience health and wholeness when their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs are met. As an organization, we are committed to providing support to the whole person, and that is why we are developing initiatives and programs related to spiritual care. Our pastoral services are crafted in cooperation with the Diocese of Lansing in a way that is authentically Catholic, respecting the dignity and value of all those we serve and work with.
Intercessory Prayer
Christians of all denominations are invited to join a team that lifts up the needs of our clients, our staff, and our programs. Prayer intentions are sent weekly to team members with the charism of intercession who are committed to confidentiality and consistency. This behind-the-scenes service provides a powerful support to the efforts of Catholic Charities. With God, all things are possible! Eucharistic Outreach
Catholic volunteers from parishes around Washtenaw County bring Holy Communion to local hospitals and to care and correctional facilities. No prior experience as a Eucharistic minister is needed, training is provided, and the schedule is flexible. This service to our isolated brothers and sisters is simple, beautiful, powerful, and much needed. You can reach out to us at [email protected] to learn more about serving or to discuss adding a facility to our lineup. To get started, visit our volunteer portal at Galaxy Digital.
Marriage Preparation
CCWC contributes to the Diocese of Lansing’s Marriage Preparation program with a workshop for engaged couples, designed to teach communication skills, conflict resolution, and ways to foster lifelong, secure intimacy.
Project Rachel
It's common to grieve the loss of a child, but often left unspoken is the grief of losing a child by abortion. Project Rachel is a ministry through the Diocese of Lansing, seeking to ensure that those experiencing the aftermath of abortion are offered support and connection. There is forgiveness, hope, and healing.
